Announcements February 7, 2021

Starting in February, we will start collecting food for the Idaho Falls Food Basket on a regular basis. A basket will be set in front of the stand where the collection plate and bulletins are located. Thank you for your support.

We are having a special voter’s meeting on February 7th after the late service (approximately 11:30). The topics on the agenda for the meeting are: a synodical referendum to postpone the synodical convention, a budget for the church and school for 2021, a second Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loan, a revised facility use policy, and calling teachers.

Lent is drawing near. Join us here, Wednesday the 17th, at 6:30 for our Ash Wednesday Service. We gather to acknowledge what we deserve for the brokenness in ourselves and the world, we gather to receive Hope in the midst of that brokenness from our Savior, Jesus.

Lenten Midweek Services begin on the 24th at St. John’s. Join our brothers and sisters in the faith as we take some time to reflect on the significance of Jesus’ last week before his death and resurrection. Services are at 6:30 with no soup suppers before.

The school will be hosting an online silent auction in place of the usual auction night event. If you have items that you would like to donate, please have them to the school no later than Wednesday February 17th.

Bidding will open on Sunday February 21 at 8:00 am and close Saturday February 27 at 8:00 pm. Winners will be notified and can pick up their prizes during business hours beginning March 1.

Don’t forget to keep our missionaries in your prayers.
